Getting Started on the Bodhrán (Bring Bodhrán):

Location: R346

Instructor: F. MORLEY[Bodh] T. MORLEY[F]

Style: Irish

The bodhrán is a round, open-backed, goatskin drum played with a small wooden stick called a beater, usually to accompany Irish reels and jigs. The right hand beats out rhythms, often somewhat intricate, while the left hand presses inside the drum to change the sound and match the tune. This is a beginner's workshop to help you along with the basics. You'll need to bring a bodhrán.
